AFTER is a 4-minute-long digital animation created in 2021. The animation features an endless travelling through a barren industrial landscape and responds to sci-fi tropes and fears at play with climate change and new technologies. The narrative within the work can be read as optimistic or pessimistic; the animation is structured as an infinite loop and omits key parts of the narrative, leaving it to the viewers’ interpretation. AFTER is also informed by classic dystopian sci-fi films like Brazil by Terry Gilliam or Soylent Green by Richard Fleischer. The soundtrack of AFTER was created by LNS, a Berlin-based producer & DJ originally from Calgary, CA. AFTER is part of the collection of FLAMINGO DAO.
